A little bit about us

We are governed by the Flanshaw Centres Incorporated Committee and are housed in 2 separate buildings in Te Atatu South.

The Infant and Toddler Centre at 2 Cole Place, is licensed for 30 children aged 3 months to 3 years of age.

The Early Childhood Centre is situated in the Flanshaw Road School grounds at 51 Flanshaw Road.  We are licensed for 35 children from 3 years to school entry.

Both centres are committed to meeting the needs of our community children and their families. We welcome you and your child to what we trust will be an extension of your home.  By working together we will provide an environment that promotes quality care and education.

Our centres are open from 7.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m, Monday to Friday.  We are open during the school holidays, but do close for public holidays and a short time over the Christmas period.

Take a browse through our website where there is more information on both of our centres. If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to meeting you!

  • "I really cannot say enough about the Flanshaw Centres! All the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming and you get a real family vibe from both centres. It is reassuring to know that your children are being left with such amazing teachers and facilities in a safe learning environment. My son (now 9 years old) attended both centres and now my 3 year old daughter is there with many of the same teachers that my son had all those years ago! That in itself says a lot for the Flanshaw Centres! We feel very proud to be a part of the Flanshaw whanau and there's no other place we would rather be!"

  • "The Flanshaw Centres have become a hugely important part of the life of our whānau. We have one child in the Infant and Toddler Space and another in preschool. Our eldest has significant additional needs and health complexities which made us very hesitant about daycare for him but Flanshaw completely put us at ease straight away and have been incredible in their care of him. They always welcome him with open arms, including him in activities with other kids, looking after him with the utmost care, compassion and deep concern for his health and well- being. Our youngest has recently joined the centre and is absolutely thriving. He is always excited to go to daycare and is so happy, comfortable and completely at home there. There's always a staff member smiling and waiting to greet each child when they arrive, scooping them up for a hug if needed when goodbyes might be challenging."
