Anjila Reddy-Lloyd (Supervisor)

Kia Ora and Welcome to our fabulous Centre.

My name is Anjila Reddy-Lloyd and I am the Supervisor of Flanshaw Centre.  I am married to my husband Graham for the last 7 years.  We are blessed to haved two beautiful girls Aisha and Ava and we all live in our home in Henderson Heights.

I have been employed at Flanshaw since 2005, and so far it has been an incredible journey watching the centre evolve. I am very fortunate to be working with a team of motivated and dedicated educators who share a similar passion and philsophy to mine.  Flanshaw has an amazing community which is evident in the families that have come and gone over the years.  I am a strong believer in harvesting positive reciprocal relationships between children and their families, this is one of the core components in a successful partnership.  I continue to be amazed at what children know and how much they teach me everyday.  My role as an educator is not to teach but to provide opportunities where learning can occur.  I am inspired by the Reggio philsophy of teaching and believe in creating a respectful environment where children's interests are extended through the environment.  I am honoured to be working with children and making a difference in their lives and hope that Flanshaw Centre will set the foundation for a great start in the many years ahead.

I look forward to meeting you and families.

I am fully qualified and this year I will complete my full teacher registration.

I have been at Flanshaw Kindy for 9 years now and continue to love every minute of it.  We are a great team of teachers and are adjacent to a fabulous supportive Primary School.

I believe that quality Early childhood education provides the foundation of lifelong learning.  My image of a child is one that is capable of achieving many things, through guidance from their peers, teachers, families and the environment.  Each child is an individual and should be seen and embraced with their own dispositons and interests in mind.

I look forward to getting to know you and your families.

I am 23 years old and I live my boyfriend,my older sister, and her partner.  >I grew up on Mt Atkinson Hill on Titirangi, a peaceful and beautiful area in Auckland.

Throughout High School I have always had a passion to be a teacher, as I love to be around children and watch them grow into successful, competent learners.  To be a teacher is exciting and so rewarding.  I am able to inspire and influence these young minds and teach them positive values, skills and lessons of life.  It makes it all worthwhile seeing their beautiful faces smile in the morning and when their faces light up when they learn something new.I look forward to getting to know you and your families.

Jasmine Mitchell

Hello and Kia Ora everyone,

My name is Jasmine Mitchell and I am nineteen years old.  I am currently in my second year of working towards my Bachelor of Teaching at Unitec.  I grew up in Surrey, England until I was six and was so excited when my family decided to move back home to beautiful Aotearoa.  I live in Te Atatu Peninsula with my mum and two cheeky cats.

I have been a proud member of the Flanshaw whanau for nearly two years. I have loved every minute of my experience here, watching the children grow into strong and confident individuals, fuelled by imagination and creativity.  As teachers I feel that we are able to provide an endless stream of wonderful and eye-opening opportunities for young children to discover, explore, engage and work alongside each other to find out more aobu the world and themselves.  Knowing that I have been there and made an impact on these children's lives, even in the smallest way, has been mind-blowing and has really helped me to develop a true sense of confidence and happiness within my own teaching practice.

I am very much focused on achieving my dream of becoming an early childhood teacher and believe that Flanshaw Early Childhood Centre is the best possible place to do this as the teachers and every single one of the children make it such a fantastic and enjoyable environment to be in.
